Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Scuttl ("the Game", "we", "us", "our") is an independent browser-based game. By connecting your wallet and playing, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Game:

• Wallet address. Your Solana public wallet address is collected when you connect your wallet. This is a public identifier on the Solana blockchain and is not personally identifiable information by itself.
• Display name. If your wallet address is associated with a Solana Name Service (SNS) domain (e.g. yourname.sol) or a Seeker (.skr) domain, we resolve and display that name on the leaderboard. We do not create this association — it is publicly registered on-chain by you.
• Game scores. Your win count is stored in our database and displayed on the public leaderboard.
• Device storage. We use your browser's localStorage to remember your progress and connected wallet between sessions. This data never leaves your device.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, IP address, device identifiers, or any other personal information.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your wallet address and game scores are used solely to:

• Display your rank and win count on the public leaderboard
• Process Rug Pull purchases (0.01 SOL transactions) and credit in-game charges
• Prevent score manipulation and maintain leaderboard integrity

4. Blockchain Transactions

All SOL transactions made in the Game (Rug Pull purchases) are processed on the Solana blockchain. Blockchain transactions are public, permanent, and irreversible. Your wallet address and transaction amounts are visible to anyone on the public blockchain. We have no ability to reverse, cancel, or modify any on-chain transaction.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We use the following third-party services to operate the Game:

• Supabase — database hosting for leaderboard data. Subject to Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Netlify — web hosting and serverless functions. Subject to Netlify's privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
• Helius — Solana RPC infrastructure used to process blockchain transactions. Only public blockchain data is sent.
• Bonfida SNS API — to resolve Solana Name Service domain names. Only your public wallet address is sent.

Your leaderboard data (wallet address, display name, win count) is publicly visible to all players of the Game.

6. Data Retention

Leaderboard data is retained for as long as the Game is operational. You may request deletion of your leaderboard entry by contacting us. Note that on-chain transaction records cannot be deleted as they are part of the permanent Solana blockchain.

7. Children's Privacy

The Game is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Your wallet private keys are never requested, transmitted to, or stored by us at any time. All wallet interactions are handled exclusively by your wallet application (Phantom, Solana Mobile Wallet, etc.). We cannot access your funds.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
